Holy Eucharist is celebrated at Grub Hill on the first Sundays of October and May. The church is located on SR 609 just south of SR 636, between the communities of Amelia Court House and Chula.

History

St. John’s Church, also known as “Grub Hill Church,” was consecrated on June 4, 1852 on the site of the former building that was built around 1762. Grub Hill is the oldest surviving church in Amelia County. In the cemetery you will find gravestones that date as far back as the 1700’s.
